Senior Software Engineer for Tool Development, Spatial Informatics Group

Matt specializes in creating user-facing applications for Earth sciences and decision support. His recent work includes an online forest carbon credit calculation tool (CAMEO) and an open-source data collection tool (Collect Earth Online). Before joining SIG, Matt worked for Georgia Transmission, where he created applications to automate engineering processes. He created tools that increased the speed and accuracy of work, including documented and verifiable processes for new national compliance requirements. He has also worked as a freelance full stack web application developer. Matt holds a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Professional Engineering license.
